How to make commercial quality gummy edibles (infused)



This recipe can be used with any type of soda and any flavour of Jello. I recommend using a candy thermometer to get the Haribo style texture.

Best recipe for shelf stable INFUSED MOUNTAIN DEW FIZZY SODA Bottle Gummies πŸ’›πŸ’š [HARIBO style texture]

RECIPE
1/4 cup Mountain Dew (or other soda) (reduced from 1/2 cup)
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 JELLO powder packet

1 and 1/2 TBSP gelatin
1/4 cup soda
2 tbsp coconut oil

1/4 tsp Potassium Sorbate
1 tsp Soy lecithin
1/4 tsp citric acid (not required)

Steps:

1.A)
Reduce soda by half (about 15 minutes on medium-high heat)
Mix in corn syrup
Heat to 230 degrees Fahrenheit (soft-ball stage)

1.B) [while soda is reducing]
Add gelatin and Jello to soda (needs to bloom for at least 5 minutes)
Add potassium sorbate [
Add soy lecithin
Add citric acid

3)
remove from heat and allow to cool down to about 200 degrees Fahrenheit
Mix in coconut oil

4)
Allow to cool to 170 degrees, add in gelatin mixture, stir to combine (watch this step in the video)

5)
Pour into Molds
Let sit in fridge

NO MELTING. NO MOLDING. Good for up to 9 months, out of the refrigerator. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ€©

If you’re new to making gummies, I always recommend to make a test run batch without tincture/oil/etc first to ensure the recipe goes smoothly. Then the second time you can make it with the infusion.

When I first started making gummies, I would always make a test batch first until I got the hang of it. Even still, occasionally I wish I made a test batch first when experimenting. For example with the sugar free recipe I have posted, the combo of crystal light/sour koolaid/citric acid was too much citric acid (as the crystal light and sour koolaid already had plenty of citric acid in them) and slightly effected the texture of the gummy. Had I done a test run first I would’ve realized I put too much citric acid between the three, and I would’ve cut back a bit. But these things happen, and in the end they’re still good.. I just prefer perfect
